Overview
Nhà hai hành, or The House of the Two Onions, is a distinct Vietnamese bistro located in Prague's Smíchov district. Founded by head chef Tomáš Cibulka, who trained at the Michelin-starred La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise, and his Vietnamese wife Phương Anh Trần, the bistro offers a genuine taste of home-cooked Vietnamese cuisine. The space carries a punk, unpretentious aesthetic with walls adorned with phone numbers and hanging electrical cables, yet it maintains a warm and inviting atmosphere. The core offering is a communal dining experience known as mâm, which encourages sharing a variety of small bowls containing herbs, sauces, and raw ingredients that guests cook themselves in a communal hot pot broth. Because the bistro is popular and capacity is limited, it is essential to book your table in advance, and those interested in the hot pot must place their order at least 48 hours prior to their visit.
