Přehled
Retro Muzeum Praha offers a deep look into the everyday life, design, and political climate of 1970s and 1980s Czechoslovakia. Spanning over 2,500 square meters, the museum presents a massive collection of 12,000 items that range from common household objects to unique designer pieces from local cooperatives. Visitors can explore five distinct thematic areas, which include detailed replicas of socialist-era apartments and professional workspaces, displays of period fashion, and insights into the functioning of state security and propaganda. The experience is designed to be interactive, allowing guests to touch and try many of the exhibits, making it a highly engaging way to understand the recent, often complex history of the country.
