How AI travel agents use your business profile
When a traveler asks an AI travel agent for recommendations, the agent needs more than a name and an address. It looks for structured information that answers questions about what your business is, who it suits, what guests can expect, and how it relates to the surrounding destination.
Your published GoVisit profile gives agents a stable page to read. Its structured sections help an agent:
- identify your place and its canonical page;
- understand your location and relationship to the destination;
- match your offers, experiences, and characteristics to a traveler's intent;
- distinguish supported facts from unsupported or missing information; and
- follow links to learn more about your business.
Agents may use this information to compare options, explain why a place is a good fit, or include it in a destination itinerary. They do not need to imitate a human visitor or infer every fact from visual page layout when the information is published in a structured form.
The current WebMCP surface is read-only and exposes already published information. It does not yet provide tools for rates, availability, booking policies, or task-oriented trip planning.
