GoVisit Data Use License

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This GoVisit Data Use License (the “License”) is an agreement between you and inHotel Sàrl, a company registered in Geneva, Switzerland (CHE-422.551.960), with its registered office at Chemin de Bonvent 32, 1218 Le Grand-Saconnex, Switzerland (“inHotel,” “we,” or “us”). inHotel operates the GoVisit platform at govisit.ai. In this License, “GoVisit” refers to that platform and its public developer tools.

By accessing or using any Tool or GoVisit Data, you agree to this License. This applies whether you access GoVisit Data through a GoVisit-operated or authorized website, application, map surface, API, MCP server, AI-agent interface, or another channel. If you use a Tool or GoVisit Data on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” means that organization. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Tools or GoVisit Data.

License at a glance

  • Licensor: inHotel SĂ rl, operator of GoVisit.
  • Licensed offering: GoVisit’s documented public developer tools and GoVisit Data made available through the Tools or any GoVisit-operated or authorized interface, subject to the rights described below.
  • Permitted use: commercial travel-planning and itinerary apps, including AI agents, may answer individual traveler requests and create, present, and store the traveler’s private itinerary using concise GoVisit excerpts. Apps or agents that monetize travel referrals, including affiliate referrals, need a separate agreement. Travel operators and destination tourism-supporting companies may assess their own GoVisit profiles and content published on GoVisit as exposed to AI agents used by travelers, travel agencies, and destination agencies.
  • Not permitted: scraping or bulk extraction, cataloguing or reselling GoVisit data, redistribution as a feed or dataset, or using it to build a competing data product.
  • Separate agreement required: OTAs, metasearch services, travel marketplaces, and booking services.
  • Attribution: “Source: GoVisit, a platform operated by inHotel SĂ rl,” linked to both govisit.ai and inhotel.io.

This summary is for convenience. The License terms below control.

1. Scope and definitions

“GoVisit Data” means inHotel-authored text; GoVisit-created structure, metadata, relationships, taxonomies, rankings, and original selection or arrangement; and other material inHotel owns or is authorized to license, made available through the Tools or any GoVisit-operated or authorized interface. The same material remains GoVisit Data regardless of the channel or method by which you access, view, or receive it.

“Third-Party Content” means information, media, marks, personal data, or other material supplied by a business, destination, public body, data provider, or another third party, or otherwise subject to rights that inHotel does not own or control. “Pass-Through Content” means only Third-Party Content specifically identified in an accompanying source notice that expressly states the applicable license and confirms that inHotel is authorized to pass those rights through to you. Rights in Pass-Through Content arise only under that stated source license, which controls its permitted purposes, attribution, and retention. This License does not sublicense Third-Party Content or grant rights in material that is not identified in such a notice. If a source notice requires you to accept terms directly from the source, you must do so before use.

“Tools” means GoVisit’s documented public read-only APIs, WebMCP tools, schemas, and related developer interfaces. “OTA or Marketplace” means an online travel agency, metasearch service, travel marketplace, or booking service that monetizes travel listings, referrals, or transactions, including through affiliate links. A travel-planning app or agent that earns referral or affiliate revenue is therefore an OTA or Marketplace for this License, even if it does not itself complete bookings.

2. Limited license for standard use

As long as you comply with this License, inHotel grants you a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to:

  1. make requests through the documented Tools;
  2. use GoVisit Data in a traveler-facing travel-planning or itinerary product, including an AI agent, or an official destination information service to answer a specific traveler’s request. This includes researching, recommending, creating, updating, and presenting that traveler’s itinerary. Display only concise, relevant excerpts in the response; and
  3. if you are a travel operator or a company that supports destination tourism, use the Tools to assess how your own GoVisit profile and content published on GoVisit appear to AI agents used by travelers, travel agencies, and destination agencies. You may retain internal, derived findings from this assessment only if they do not reproduce GoVisit Data. This permission does not include benchmarking other businesses or building a reusable catalog; and
  4. cache GoVisit Data for up to 24 hours.

This grant does not extend to Pass-Through Content. You may use or cache Pass-Through Content only as expressly permitted by its identified source license, and only if that use also complies with the restrictions in this License. The shorter or more restrictive source-specific requirement applies where it limits a use otherwise permitted here.

You may use this standard license in a commercial product for the traveler-specific planning described above, without a fee. You may research, select, organize, and summarize GoVisit Data to make the requested itinerary, and include permitted concise excerpts in the traveler’s private itinerary subject to the retention and refresh limits below. This permission does not allow reusable itinerary templates, indexes, catalogs, feeds, datasets, or a standalone GoVisit Data product. An OTA or Marketplace needs a separate written agreement for any use, including per-traveler queries or use that directs a traveler to its own bookable inventory. This License does not provide a higher request limit, service-level commitment, or right to a bulk data feed.

You may use a technical service provider, including an AI model or agent host, to process GoVisit Data solely on your behalf as needed for a use permitted by this section. You must bind that provider in writing to process the data only on your documented instructions, not to use it for its own purposes or to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or improve a model, and to delete it when processing is complete. You remain responsible for the provider’s compliance with these terms. This limited processing is not a sublicense.

You may keep only the minimum GoVisit Data that a traveler affirmatively chooses to save to that traveler’s private itinerary. Each saved excerpt must be deleted by the earlier of the traveler deleting it or 90 days after the date it was retrieved in response to that traveler’s request. This 90-day limit applies to GoVisit Data and excerpts in the itinerary; you may retain traveler-provided details and independently created itinerary structure, but not text that reproduces GoVisit Data. Do not use saved itinerary data to build a reusable index, train or evaluate a model, or serve another user. Refresh details before presenting them as current, and honor any shorter source-specific retention term.

3. Required attribution

Whenever you display or communicate GoVisit Data or Pass-Through Content accessed through a Tool or another GoVisit-operated or authorized interface, give clear, readable attribution adjacent to the relevant content using this wording, with both links intact:

Source: GoVisit, a platform operated by inHotel SĂ rl.

For a group of results shown together, the attribution may appear once in the same visible view as those results. Preserve any additional source credits or notices returned with the data, including notices required by a Pass-Through Content source license. Do not remove, obscure, or alter attribution, provenance, or rights notices. Do not suggest that GoVisit or a listed business sponsors or endorses your product.

4. Restrictions

Unless inHotel gives you separate written permission, you must not:

  • systematically scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download GoVisit Data, regardless of access channel or collection method, including data obtained through an API, MCP or AI-agent interface, GoVisit website, application or map surface, systematic manual copying, automated browsing or optical character recognition, or a third party acting on your behalf;
  • extract or reuse all or a substantial part of GoVisit Data, or repeatedly extract smaller parts in a way that reconstructs, substitutes for, or makes available a substantial part of a GoVisit catalog;
  • mirror or republish a GoVisit place or destination catalog, provide GoVisit Data as a standalone product through a customer API, partner feed, affiliate network, or downloadable dataset, or sell, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute it as data. This does not prohibit the app-server delivery of permitted excerpts needed to display a traveler-requested response or itinerary under Section 2;
  • use GoVisit Data to create, enrich, or operate a competing directory, destination catalog, metasearch service, or place-search product;
  • use GoVisit Data or outputs to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate, or improve a machine-learning or generative-AI model, embedding index, or reusable dataset. Transient model inference to answer an individual traveler’s request, including creating or updating that traveler’s requested itinerary, or to analyze the licensee’s own GoVisit profile and content for the permitted self-assessment in Section 2 is allowed. This self-assessment is not permission to evaluate or improve the model itself. Only the derived, non-reconstructive self-assessment findings allowed by Section 2 may be retained;
  • use this standard license if you are an OTA or Marketplace. Any such use requires a separate written agreement;
  • bypass request limits or technical controls, rotate accounts or IP addresses to evade a limit, share credentials, use undocumented endpoints, or interfere with the Tools; or
  • remove or change GoVisit branding or any source-specific terms attached to Third-Party Content.

The public availability of a page or response does not waive these restrictions or grant permission to collect, resell, or rehost its contents.

5. Third-Party Content and other rights

This License grants rights only in GoVisit Data that inHotel owns or is authorized to license. It does not transfer ownership of GoVisit Data, Third-Party Content, or the Tools. inHotel reserves all rights not expressly granted. For Pass-Through Content, the identified source license is the only source of permission; its limits remain attached to the content and do not expand by inclusion in a GoVisit response.

Follow any source terms included with or linked from a response. If a permitted use or attribution requirement is unclear, or no express source license is identified, do not retain or redistribute that Third-Party Content until you have confirmed the applicable rights directly with the rights holder. A public or unclaimed profile is not permission to request or sell a business’s rates, availability, reservations, or services. Do not send personal or confidential information through a Tool unless the relevant interface expressly supports that use and you have the necessary rights and notices.

6. Requests, accuracy, and availability

Use only the documented request methods and respect the published request limits. Read freshness, completeness, version, and source metadata before relying on a response. GoVisit Data may be incomplete, change, or become unavailable. The Tools provide published discovery information; they do not provide live prices, availability, or reservation transactions.

inHotel may change, suspend, or discontinue a Tool or data source, or suspend your access, to protect the service, comply with law or source terms, or investigate a suspected violation. The current public request limits and response behavior are described in the Coverage and reliability guide.

7. Term and termination

This License applies from your first access to or use of a Tool or GoVisit Data and continues until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by stopping use and notifying inHotel. inHotel may terminate it for convenience by notice, if you breach the License, if a source withdraws rights needed to provide the GoVisit Data, or if continued access would violate law. inHotel may immediately suspend access to address an urgent security, service, legal, or rights risk. For a remediable breach, inHotel will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure before termination, unless the breach is serious, repeated, or cannot be cured.

When this License ends, stop making new requests, remove GoVisit Data from reusable indexes and feeds, and delete other copies in your possession or control within 30 days. A traveler’s saved itinerary may remain visible only to that traveler until the earlier of the traveler deleting it or 90 days after the request, unless a source requires earlier removal. It may not be used for another purpose. Copies in routine backups that are not reasonably accessible may be deleted under your normal backup cycle. The restrictions on use, third-party rights, disclaimer, liability, indemnity, and dispute terms survive only to the extent needed to give them effect after termination.

8. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tools and GoVisit Data are provided “as is” and “as available.” inHotel does not warrant that information is accurate, complete, current, suitable for a particular purpose, or continuously available. You are responsible for checking information before presenting it as current or making a booking decision.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, inHotel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, data, or goodwill arising from this License or your use of the Tools. Nothing in this License excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. A paid or enterprise license may state different liability terms in its separate written agreement.

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify inHotel and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your material breach of this License or your unauthorized redistribution of GoVisit Data. inHotel will promptly notify you of a claim, allow you to control its defense with qualified counsel, and provide reasonable cooperation at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by inHotel or imposes an obligation on inHotel without its written consent. This section does not apply to the extent a claim results from inHotel’s breach of this License or unlawful conduct.

10. Governing law and general terms

Swiss law governs this License, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory rights that cannot be waived by agreement.

This License is the complete agreement about your standard use of the Tools and GoVisit Data. A separate written agreement signed or electronically accepted by both parties may grant additional rights and will control where it conflicts with this License. You may not transfer this License without inHotel’s written consent. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. inHotel may update this License by publishing a revised version and giving notice through the Tools or developer documentation. Your continued use after the effective date of a revised License constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

This License is intended for organizations and business use. If you use the Tools as a consumer, mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules continue to apply. Nothing in this License waives a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

For permissions beyond this License, contact inHotel and describe your intended data, use, audience, and expected request volume. Do not send API credentials, personal data, or confidential business information through a public issue tracker.
