Overview
FUTURA Gallery, located in Prague's Smichov district, was once a significant center for contemporary art. It resided in a three-storey building and was known for its artist-in-residence programs for both Czech and international creators. As the venue has been permanently closed since 2022, visitors can no longer access the interior or the temporary exhibition spaces. However, the exterior still features the notable Buttocks sculptures by David Cerny, which remain on display for those passing by. For those seeking active galleries, the Musoleum is the recommended destination to view the artist's work, while the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art offers a robust program of temporary exhibitions.
