Overview
Located in the historic Malá Strana district, Smaltum offers a unique opportunity to engage in the traditional craft of enamel painting. As the only workshop of its kind in Central Europe, it provides an intimate space where individuals, families, and groups can select from a wide range of metal items—including mugs, jewelry, and signs—and personalize them with professional-grade enamels. Visitors receive guidance and all necessary tools, including an apron, from on-site instructors who help navigate the specific techniques required. Because the firing process is rapid, taking only about 10 minutes total for the item to be completed and cooled, guests can walk away with their own custom-made souvenir within the same visit. The workshop is open daily, though reservations are strongly encouraged, especially for large groups or during peak times.
