The Winged Lion Memorial is a focused, historically rich site located in Klárov, dedicated to the Czechoslovak airmen who served in the British Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Unveiled in 2014, the monument features a two-meter tall bronze lion crafted by British sculptor Colin Spofforth. The pedestal itself is a significant part of the experience, designed to mimic aircraft fuselage with visible riveting and plating. From a bird's-eye view, the circular base reflects the insignia of the Czechoslovak military air force. Since 2017, the pedestal has been inscribed with the names of all 2,507 Czechoslovak soldiers who served in the RAF, noting those who fell in combat with a cross symbol.
