Přehled
The Lesser Town Bridge Towers serve as a functional and historical entrance to the Lesser Town of Prague. Comprising a pair of stylistically distinct structures, the complex features a smaller 12th-century Romanesque tower known as Judith's Tower and a taller 1464 Gothic tower. While Judith's Tower remains closed to the public, the Gothic tower is open, offering visitors a viewing gallery at 26 meters height. This gallery provides an elevated perspective over the Vltava River and the historical city center. The Gothic tower is built from massive sandstone blocks and reflects the architectural influence of Peter Parler. Visitors pass through a gate between the towers that features historical emblems of the Luxembourg and Bohemian lands, marking the official transition into the Malá Strana district.
