Claiming a place
If you own or manage a business, you can claim its GoVisit AI Business Profile. Claiming establishes your relationship with the place and opens the next steps for managing the profile.
Who can claim a place?
This journey is for a business owner or an authorized person who manages the business. You should be able to confirm your relationship with the place and make changes on behalf of the business.
Claiming an AI Business Profile is different from completing every follow-up step. Depending on the place and its current status, GoVisit may also ask you to verify the profile and connect the business website to the AI Business Profile.
Your claim journey
The journey is organized into these steps:
- Start the claim from the public place page.
- Confirm ownership or management of the place.
- Verify the AI Business Profile when GoVisit requests verification.
- Connect your website to the AI Business Profile by updating your brand website’s schema.org/JSON-LD and adding a GoVisit social icon to the website. See Connect your website to your AI Business Profile.
- Complete the remaining setup and follow the instructions for progressing the profile toward Managed status.
Claiming, verification, and the website connection are related but distinct steps. The profile status shown in GoVisit is the best indication of what remains to be done.
If you cannot start the claim
If Claim this place is not available, the place may already be claimed, may not be eligible for this workflow, or may require a different action. Check that you are signed in to the account you use to manage the business and follow the status or ownership guidance shown on the place page.
If the place does not exist on GoVisit yet, sign up at inHotel and follow the onboarding instructions to get started.
Do not create a second profile for the same business unless GoVisit explicitly instructs you to do so.
