Galerie Kooperativy

Galerie Kooperativy is a distinctive cultural institution situated on the third floor of the Kooperativa insurance headquarters in the Karlín district of Prague. Established in the early 1990s, the gallery manages a substantial and professionally curated collection of over 3,000 Czech artworks, including paintings, drawings, graphics, and sculptures. Visitors can explore two primary themed exhibitions each year, which are often complemented by guided tours, lectures, and interactive debates. The gallery was designed to integrate professional work life with the public sphere, creating a unique, open atmosphere. After viewing the art, guests are encouraged to relax in the on-site Mezi řádky cafe, which operates with a focus on social responsibility by employing individuals with handicaps.
