Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague

Located in the historic Lesser Town, the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague is set in the building where the famous Edward Kelley once lived. To reach the exhibition, visitors must ascend a narrow, 16th-century wooden staircase that is one of the oldest in the city. The museum is organized into three main sections, anchored by a detailed reconstruction of a historical alchemist's laboratory. Guests can inspect furnaces, retorts, and a mock-up of a stopped explosion. Beyond the technical equipment, the museum features interactive exhibits where visitors can handle bellows or look at skeletons under magnification, providing a tactile sense of 16th-century science.
