Letohradek kralovny Anny

Built between 1538 and 1560 by Ferdinand I, the Letohradek kralovny Anny stands as a prime example of Renaissance architecture at the edge of the Royal Garden. The exterior is defined by its extensive arcaded gallery and intricate relief work crafted by Italian stonemasons, complemented by the unique roof design completed by Hans Tirol and Bonifác Wohlmut. Following an 1836 restoration, the building gained its first-floor interior murals depicting Czech history, while the surrounding grounds feature a classic Italian-style giardinetto garden. Today, visitors typically come to view rotating art exhibitions or to hear the unique acoustic resonance of the nearby 16th-century bronze Singing Fountain, which is best experienced by standing directly beneath its wide lower basin.
