Svatovaclavska vinice

Svatovaclavska vinice is a rare example of preserved historical viticulture located directly on the southern slope beneath Prague Castle. Established by legend as early as the 10th century and attributed to Prince Wenceslas himself, the site serves as both a functional vineyard and a heritage destination. The area includes the neoclassical Richter Villa, which was built in the mid-19th century and has since been recognized as a national cultural monument. Following a period of neglect during the 20th century, the complex underwent extensive private restoration and reopened to the public in 2008. Today, guests can visit to walk through the 0.23-hectare plot, enjoy the panoramic views across the city, and sample rare Pinot Noir and Riesling wines produced on the grounds at the central pergola.
